The Long Journey Home

Here is the film that I worked on throughout the semester for my animation class, ANI 115. There are a lot of rough scenes and I hope to finalize everything soon, but here it is as I have shown it on the final day. I hope you gain something from my intended story but if not I hope you are at least entertained for the time that I have your attention. Thank you, and stay drawing!

Now for something interesting

My professor sir David Chai challenged me to make this. He didn't expect it to happen. But here it is. A redo of my initial brick drop animation.
Here is my favorite project from my animation class. Our character walk assignment. Hope you enjoy!

Now time for some moving pictures!

Here is a culmination of my normal tests from the first animation class, ANI 114. Each one came with a new challenge and a new building block to build upon animation. Here's to a future in 2D animation.

I forgot to post this last year....

So I feel like my gorilla drawing skills have increased exponentially. I've been drawing them for about 4 weeks now and at first it was rather difficult. But i see now how easy it is to relate them to the human figure...
Gorillas are naturally very peaceful creatures. they don't want to hurt anyone or anything unless under attack. In fact, even if a Gorilla was angry enough to charge you, it would most likely stop halfway. The purpose of a charging Gorilla is just to scare possible predators off. Being an 800 pound gorilla I can't imagine that being too difficult a task.
As with every species of Gorilla the adult male is known as the Silver Back, due to it's grayish fur that appears as it grows into adulthood. And as highlander would say, "there can be only one."
Eastern Lowland Gorillas are vegetarians or herbivores, eating mostly fruits and various foliage around the jungles they travel.

Gorillas are happiest when in their natural environment. they love theur families and raise lots of baby gorillas, and move from place to place. They are nomadic creatures.
But when they are put in zoos, they are not at home and they see the same trees and grass the rest of their lives.
This is what I've learned from spending time with these marvelous creatures.

Just kinda got inspired

Sketchy mini-illustration of recently inspired thoughts. I might try to make a painting out of it and practice better lighting techniques. I might just do a better inked out one. OR! I might animate whats happening. WHO KNOWS!?! lol I like All the ideas. A good practice in storytelling. It probably looks like scratches right now but I hve an idear in there lol

The day I was born

Today is my birthday. October 29, 2009. Yea. I'm 20. I'm no longer a teenager.... that's all the significance of the 20th birthday. Besides that I have about a ton and a half of drawing homework to do.
These are some of my thoughts of my first big illustration project in my FIRST animation class. I had to draw a pic involving a Platypus.

I drew these within the last two days

Even from the beginning of this month, (refering to the last post) my drawings have changed. Constantly changing my skills and ideas. Crazy. Whenever Ipost gestures I am only posting about 16% of them. I just choose the ones that look the best (or worst depending). But this is my gsture up to date.
Keep living Keep Drawing.

Increasing in skill and stature

Here you can see the difference between my drawing of the GESTURE from September (left) to October (Right). A drasrtic change, yes. Still in need of improvement which I always will have room for.
