Christmas Present! A Little Link

So this is a gift I owe to a dear friend. It's been quite some time, but I finally got around to making it. Her favorite video game Charater and mine as well. I'm looking forward to making more of these! It was super fun!

Not a Comic

For a my conceptual illustration class we were assigned to make a "Crew of You" meaning 6 characters based on different components of your personailty. My crew derived from characters I actually partially developed over the summer time. This project pushed me to finish that process and I'm ever so happy for it.
The adventurous kid. Another character is the lil' dinosaur on his head. That's Terry. She's the lovable scaredy cat. Even though she's pretty vulnerable on her own she makes a formidable team with MonsterBoy here. They are still relatively small but they can figure out how to deal with any sort of hungry creatures they run into.

This.... is Chad. An obliviously gregarious food loving unicorn. He never lets anything get him down. In fact he doesn't understand the theory of sadness. It wasn't a part of his blueprints. He is always trying to make people happy whether its with his infectious smile or with his never ending opinion on food. He's a vegan. His diet consists of mainly butter and sour cream (don't tell him those are animal products... shhhh). Although he always wants to make people happy, he may unknowingly overdue it just to make people more fond of him.

And Here's the rest of the Crew. There's a righteous Fire angel of Wrath who executes the Lord God's duties that have to do with destruction. There's an emo Chick who can't hang with the rest because she's a damper. And a Parkour party bro alien. He's in love with beer.

Understanding Humans: Misplaced Etiquette

I find that I say some things just by force of habit that don't fit every situation.

More Sketchbook stuff

I like designing characters of lil' monsters and creatures. Also trying my hand at making an actual picture/scene.... which I rarely do. Oh also I really like venom, and there's a new girl venom named Mania. she's pretty cool.

Sketchbook Madness

Here are some of my character sketched from the semester. Working through some ideas and stuff.

A Collaborative creature drawing

Now for something interesting

My professor sir David Chai challenged me to make this. He didn't expect it to happen. But here it is. A redo of my initial brick drop animation.
Here is my favorite project from my animation class. Our character walk assignment. Hope you enjoy!

Now time for some moving pictures!

Here is a culmination of my normal tests from the first animation class, ANI 114. Each one came with a new challenge and a new building block to build upon animation. Here's to a future in 2D animation.

I forgot to post this last year....

So I feel like my gorilla drawing skills have increased exponentially. I've been drawing them for about 4 weeks now and at first it was rather difficult. But i see now how easy it is to relate them to the human figure...
Gorillas are naturally very peaceful creatures. they don't want to hurt anyone or anything unless under attack. In fact, even if a Gorilla was angry enough to charge you, it would most likely stop halfway. The purpose of a charging Gorilla is just to scare possible predators off. Being an 800 pound gorilla I can't imagine that being too difficult a task.
As with every species of Gorilla the adult male is known as the Silver Back, due to it's grayish fur that appears as it grows into adulthood. And as highlander would say, "there can be only one."
Eastern Lowland Gorillas are vegetarians or herbivores, eating mostly fruits and various foliage around the jungles they travel.

Gorillas are happiest when in their natural environment. they love theur families and raise lots of baby gorillas, and move from place to place. They are nomadic creatures.
But when they are put in zoos, they are not at home and they see the same trees and grass the rest of their lives.
This is what I've learned from spending time with these marvelous creatures.

Just kinda got inspired

Sketchy mini-illustration of recently inspired thoughts. I might try to make a painting out of it and practice better lighting techniques. I might just do a better inked out one. OR! I might animate whats happening. WHO KNOWS!?! lol I like All the ideas. A good practice in storytelling. It probably looks like scratches right now but I hve an idear in there lol

Mane Dragon and Big Gunz

Mane Dragon Big Gunz

Frilled Dragon

Little frilled lizard based dragon... ok it is a frilled lizard. BUT it's a dragon because of the intensity of the scales. Yes indeed, that's my theory. He's in aggressive defensive mode.

The beginning of the end

I have few pages

left in my sketchbook. So I decided to fill the rest up with dragons. Why? I don't know, maybe because the new movie How to Train your Dragon is out. I've been drawing them off and on for a while though (true story). But I wanted to just get some good designs out on paper. And let my mind explode.
